In accordance with Board of Nursing Resolution No. 2010-17 of July 27, 2010. The NURSE LICENSURE EXAMINATION for December 2010 has been “re-scheduled” from December 12 and 13 to December 19 & 20, 2010. The NEW DEADLINE FOR FILING OF REPEATERS is now from Sept. 8 – 29, 2010. Regular examinees will follow same schedule as set by PRC and is now on-going. BOARD OF NURSING RESOLUTION NO. 2010- Series of 2010 RE-SCHEDULING THE DECEMBER, 2010 NURSES LICENSURE EXAMINATION FROM DECEMBER 12 & 13, 2010 TO DECEMBER 19 & 20, 2010 AND PROVIDING FOR A NEW DEADLINE OF FILING OF APPLICATIONS FOR REPEATER APPLICANTS FROM SEPTEMBER 8, 2010 TO SEPTEMBER 28, 2010 WHEREAS, in the exercise of its powers under Section 7 (d) of R.A. No. 8981, the Commission issued Resolution No. 2009-537, series of 2009 which fixed the dates and designated the places for holding the various licensure examinations of the Professional Regulatory Boards for Calendar Year 2010. The said Resolution also set the dates of the Second Phase of the Nurses Licensure Examination on December 12 & 13, 2010 (Sunday-Monday) and the deadline of filing of applications of repeater applicants on September 8, 2010; WHEREAS, the second day of the December, 2010 Nurses Licensure Examination will fall on Monday, December 13, 2010 which happens to be a school day; WHEREAS, since the Commission makes use of public and private schools as examination venues, there will be no available schools that can be used on the second day of the December, 2010 Licensure Examination; WHEREAS, the Regional Director of PRC Baguio Regional Office has expressed his concern about the non-availability of schools to be used as examination venues if the licensure examination will push through on December 12 & 13, 2010; WHEREAS, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has issued CMO No. 44, s. 2009 setting the start of the Christmas vacation on December 20, 2010; WHEREAS, the Department of Education (DEPED) has likewise issued DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2010 setting the start of the Christmas vacation on December 18, 2010; WHEREAS, the results of the July, 2010 Licensure Examination will be released on the last week of August, 2010 and there will be very limited time for repeater applicants to beat the deadline on September 8, 2010; WHEREAS, there is a need to move the schedule of the December, 2010 Nurses Licensure Examination as well as the deadline of filing of applications for repeater applicants in order to have a smooth and orderly application, administration and conduct of the examination. NOW, THEREFORE, the Board hereby resolved, as it now resolves, to reschedule the December, 2010 Nurses Licensure Examination from December 12 & 13, 2010 to DECEMBER 19 & 20, 2010 (SUNDAY-MONDAY) and to provide for a new deadline of filing of applications for repeater applicants from September 8, 2010 to SEPTEMBER 28, 2010. Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the Board of Nursing, Director for Licensure, Application Division, Examination Division, Rating Division, Secretariat, ICT Division, Legal Division, Supply & Property Division, Budget Division, Accounting Division, ESTF, PIMRU, all Regional Offices and all schools, colleges and universities offering the Nursing course for their information and guidance.
